Hybrids are not quite the cars you would expect to get aftermarket packages, even if some of them look, let's be gentle... "different". Well, the guys over at Exclusive Zeus actually managed to gather multiple tuning parts into a single package and launched what seems to look like a lowrider upgrade for the hybrid.
Official details on the tweaks are not yet available but, as you can see for yourselves in the adjacent photos, the aftermarket Insight comes with a new front apron and side skirts. The front grille has been painted in black while the rear side receive a major makeover also comprising a diffuser for improved aerodynamics. A brand new set of wheels is also included in the package, together with low-profile tires.
Obviously, there's no engineering upgrades as boosting the hybrid's powertrain output might prove to be a very difficult task. Pricing details are yet to be released but more information should surface soon.
Honda Insight is quite a popular model in its domestic market, as the parent company recorded promising sales even from the first months of availability.
"It is the first time in history for a hybrid model to be the industry's best selling vehicle in Japan for any monthly sales period," the Japanese manufacturer said back in May when announcing the April sales results of the Insight.
"Since its introduction on February 6, 2009, the all-new Insight has been very well received by a wide range of customers due to its excellent environmental performance, easy-to-use packaging, light and comfortable driving and affordable pricing," it added.
