Yesterday we told you about the American Suzuki Motor Corporation getting court approval for their bankruptcy, and with Geneva already on its way we thought we should spread some good news about the Japanese automaker as well.
First of all, Suzuki has unveiled its all-new SX4 Crossover in Switzerland. No, you shouldn't be surprised, the production model based on the S-Cross Concept came right as planned. Secondly, and probably more importantly, the new SX4 is now bigger.
This means Suzuki learned a valuable lesson last year and decided to respond to European crossover customer expectations by moving the SX4 into the larger C segment.
Now about 165 mm longer and 10 mm wider, Suzuki's crossover will reportedly offer class leading luggage and passenger space, better fuel consumption, and one of the lowest CO2 emission rate in the segment.
The SX4 is supposed to gain two 1.6-liter engines, gasoline and turbocharged diesel, connected to five-speed manual and six-speed manual transmission respectively. A variable CTV with paddle shifts is also in the books as an optional.
