As the 2013 WSBK series kick-off race in Phillip Island, Australia is drawing near, more and more teams are introducing their machines, and today is Fixi Crescent's turn to show off their 2013 Suzuki GSX-R1000 beast.
The two 2013 WSBK Suzukis will be ridden by Leon Camier and John Hopkins' replacement pilot Jules Cluzel. However, the Fixi Crescent team could indeed be a bit happier, as long-term partner Yoshimura has announced they will not be building the race engines. With even less support from Suzuki Motor Co., it looks like it's up to Fixi to mend, fix and ultimately build their own engines.
This comes with some sort of compensation, Team manager Paul Denning adds: Yoshimura will have all the time to focus on long-term development and the racing team will be forced to work together more closely. Hopefully, Denning's trace of optimism will materialize in good results.
Fixi Crescent Suzuki will have their private tests at Phillip Island February 14-15, with official WSBK training February 18-19 and the first world series round on February the 24th.
