The Ford F-150 Raptor R is a beast from the first moment it rolls off the production line. However, some may think it is not beastly enough. Enter Hennessey. The tuning house changed the name, the face, and the numbers of the pickup truck. The model is now going into production with vicious looks and unbelievable power.
1,043 horsepower. That is how much the brand-new, almighty VelociRaptor/former F-150 Raptor R churns out right now. That is more than 40 percent of the power it rolled off the production line with. The Ford F-150 Raptor R comes with the 5.2-liter supercharged V8.

To get there, Hennessey came up with a 3.8-liter supercharger and high-flow air induction, billet fuel rails, a heavy-duty supercharger belt, upgraded fuel lines, an air/oil separator system. Hennessy also interfered with the management calibration of the V8 cross-plane engine.

When it drove through the factory gate in Dearborn, Michigan, ready to battle the now-discontinued Ram 1500 TRX, it was still worth attention. It had 700 horsepower (710 metric horsepower) and 640 pound-feet (868 Newton meters) of torque for a run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.7 seconds, covering the quarter mile in 12.1 seconds.

Now, the insane truck boasts supercar-type of performance. It flashes from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in just 3.1 seconds and does the quarter mile in 11.4 seconds at 122 mph. "It is the Porsche 911 Turbo S of trucks," John Hennessey, company founder and CEO says.

And the tuning house did not stop there. New Hennessey wheels, a 3-inch lift with front and rear suspension leveling, and power electric fold-out steps are on the menu for high-revving exhaust notes to match the extra oomph.

The model rides on new Hennessey 20-inch wheels with 37-inch off-road tires and six-piston Brembo brakes and sports the tuner's badging. For more aggressive styling, the beast got VelociRaptor front and rear bumpers.

The Texas-based firm started the production of the Super Truck. It is its most powerful Ford F-150 Raptor to ever see the light of day. Hennessy has built thousands of insane trucks since it first entered the territory, back in 2009.

Hennessey has recently dyno-tested a modified 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R to know just how much it pumps out. They got 1,000 horsepower, of which 782.87 went straight to the rear wheels.

Customers can order the model through authorized Ford dealers or directly with Hennessey. Those who drive a go-anywhere VelociRaptorR 1000 Super Truck home will benefit from a three-year/36,000-mile warranty.

However, they should hurry. Only 500 such super trucks will see the light of day. And Hennessey claims they sell like hotcakes. There is no word on pricing, though.
