Hellcat owners have always had to accept the overly hefty scale footprint of their machines. Nevertheless, as one finds out after getting behind the wheel of an SRT-massaged Charger and Challenger, these machines handle extremely well for their weight and size. So, what happens when a Hellcat hits the Nurburgring?
The answer comes from the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which showcases a Dodge Charger Hellcat being thrown at the Green Hell. And no, the thing didn't lose its rear end while tacking the infamous German track.

The owner of the 707 hp sedan took the time to explain the adventure in the description of the video showcasing the hot lap.

"Put the Hellcat in the hands of my tame racing driver to see what the car is really capable of doing. It was the first time for him to drive the 'Cat so he was still getting used to it but she held up well. Not a bad run (9:29) considering we had two passengers riding along - car would make a great Ring Taxi, lol!" we are being told.

In its quest to get from Bridge to Gantry, the Dodge played with a Ford, but this wasn't a Mustang. Instead, we're talking about a Focus RS - the two were engaged in a rather spicy chase that obviously involves traffic.

Note that, at a certain point, the driver asks about how the muscle beast can be persuaded to stop shifting gears on its own and only do so at the command of the one behind the wheel. And the answer is simple - the gear shifter needs to be slid to the left, which brings the eight-speed automatic into manual mode. Once this has been covering, all the driver needs to do is to turn to the paddles on the steering wheel.
