BMW Driver Has Nurburgring Rollover Crash, Nearly Gets Hit After Exiting Wreck

When one is involved in a Nurburgring crash, the behavior showcased after the impact can be even more important than the one prior to the accident. And, as a lesson on this, we've brought along a recent Green Hell accident that could've easily turned into a dark disaster.

The whole thing started with the driver of a BMW 3 Series losing control after entering the Kallenhard and we'll zoom in on the events that led to the impact.

Now, Kallenhard is the kind of corner that sees plenty of drivers crashing, but such events normally take place in the wet, with the grip through this bend being extremely tricky.

Regardless, the aficionado behind the wheel of the 3er entered what might be described as a moderate oversteer state, with the man overcorrecting and thus ending up sliding the other way. And it didn't take long before the Bimmer, probably an E36 model, hit the barrier on the side of the wall.

Alas, the angle of the impact saw the car flipping, albeit with the machine landing back onto its wheels.

In fact, the driver of the Bavarian machine took to the comments section of the YouTube video to give us his take on the failed slide, which seemed unintentional.

"Afterwards of course I know I made a bad mistake. I was in panic to not crash at the right wall. Then I steered to the left expecting to have room to steer back but at this point the car went so heavily to the left I just couldn't do anything anymore," the man explains.

However, the nastiest part of the stunt came after the crash. The driver took swift action, leaving the vehicle after dropping a few OMGs.

And just as the man was heading for safety behind the metallic element on the side of the track, another BMW crashed into his car - the other driver barely missed the "pedestrian" on the track.

"God bless the BMW e46 driver from Switzerland for saving my life by crashing his car instead of killing me!" the E36 guy explains.

The lesson here is that one needs to get behind the barrier as quickly as possible, while being fully alert in the process.
