Revealed through one single photo last week, the 2015 Acura NSX will be showcased as a prototype at the Mid-Ohio Raceway early next month. The mule will lap the track ahead of the Honda Indy 200 IndyCar Series race.
Now, the Japanese automaker released a couple of videos that allow us to hear the 2015 NSX’s engine for the very first time. No details have been disclosed, but we do known that the Mid-Ohio prototype will feature the same V6 hybrid powertrain that will provide motivation for the production supercar as well.
The vehicle that will lap the Mid-Ohio Raceway will wear a blue paint job and custom graphics and we expect Acura to release more teasers until the Honda Indy 200 takes place.
The next-generation NSX is being developed at Honda R&D American in Raymond, Ohio, with global launch scheduled sometime in 2015. Until further details surface, scroll below to watch the short video and head over to Instagram for a second film of the NSX prototype.
