What's better than power? More power, of course! The Vauxhall Astra VXR already has a lot of it, since its 280 PS put it above all of its rivals in terms of output, save maybe for the radical and obsolete Focus RS or the much more expensive Audi S3.
But as any night racer will testify, you can never have too much power. That's why Superchips has found more poneys under the bonnet. The ECU remap they devised is a plug-and-play device that installs in minutes and adds 23 bhp at 5093 rpm, plus an extra 61 Nm of torque, while retaining all the GM factory electronic failsafes.

"On the road the added punch translates into a sharper, even more exciting drive, with a crisper throttle response allied to greater urgency across the rev range. The Superchips upgrade makes the Astra GTC VXR feel even more willing than before, potentially allowing the Vauxhall to better its already impressive 5.8 second 0-60 mph sprint," Superchips says.

The kit can be fitted to the new Astra VXR at one of 80 UK Superchips who will charge you £455.00 inclusive of VAT.

But that's not all. The same 2-liter turbo engine can be tuned even further. Stage 2 kits are also available and add 32 hp and 75 Nm of torque through an exhaust swap.
