H2's Arc Superyacht Is the Kind of Boat Noah Wished He Had During the Flood

It would seem that we humans need to dream a little sometimes and that's probably one of the main reasons why we like superyacht concepts so much. So here's a concept from famed H2 Yacht Design that's sure to give you some fantastic daydreams.
What you're looking at is known as the Arc superyacht by H2 Yacht Design. If you've never heard of H2 before, allow me a quick presentation. This company was founded in 1994 by director Jonny Horsfield. After studying car design at Coventry University, he discovered a passion for superyacht styling.

Over the next 20 years, this design team has been responsible for numerous re-fittings, and recently, has even been responsible for entire new builds. So it makes sense that we bring to your attention the spectacular projects this team cranks out.

For now, the Arc remains solely a concept. But, with the way things have gone for this company in the past, we might see it on international waters any day now. If you don't believe me, give yourself two to three minutes and carefully look at the images in the gallery. That's all you need to do to realize that this vessel is not only appealing but also possible.

One thing we need to mention before we go any further is we have absolutely no specs or images of the interior of the ship. Why? Usually, anytime a concept such as this is conceived, it's a means for the company to boast about its abilities. However, if someone does fall in love with such an exterior image, then the interior will be designed and constructed according to the owner's feedback. After all, what's the point of designing the interior of a vessel if the eventual customer won't like it?

As I mentioned earlier, we don't know how large this ship is or what sort of interior spaces and activities unfold. But this doesn't let experience stop us from trying to imagine a billionaire's lifestyle. In order to do that, we can start with the most visible deck of all, the upper deck.

The upper deck seems to be exclusively outdoors except for a small section of the superstructure that offers some shade. At the bow of this deck and the highest point possible on the ship, we find a jacuzzi. With the sort of view you can get from up there, I bet you'll get all hyped up before you ever want to get out. As we head aft, we are greeted by a lounging pad, an outdoor bar, another socializing space, and finally, an outdoor dining set.

For the deck below, the only visible area is an outdoor dining set. It’s also on this deck that we may find the owner’s loft, but again we have no idea of what it's like inside. On the main deck, we can see a massive circular lounging space sitting in the shade of the deck above. However, if the shade isn't cutting it, we will also find a pool that extends over the beach club.

In classic superyacht fashion, the beach club can be accessed by two staircases on each side. A large patio shows us a couple of lounge chairs but with plenty of room for more. It's also here at the rear that we usually find access to the toy garage, but I'm not quite sure how that door is opened seeing as how there’s a pool on top.

Questions such as these, on the other hand, are exactly the kind that show up whenever discussing a build or design. With over 25 years of experience, H2 Yacht Design has probably seen more than its fair share of issues.
