The Minimalist Panora Yacht Destroys the Notion That Luxury Can’t Be Simple

Whether it's big or small, luxurious or just plain simple, everybody seems to love a yacht. This next one, however, is all about simplicity.

Folks, what you're seeing in the cover photo is nothing other than the Panora Yacht. Now, before you start getting upset because of the simple design you see, don’t. Why? Because behind its seeming simplicity hides a very luxurious vessel. Here, just so you have a better understanding, we're going to take you on a little journey.

Now allow me to set one thing straight: what we're looking at is a concept and will not be seen on waters until someone with the proper cash steps up to the plate. Even then, there will need to be a boatyard that is building at all.

So until those two aspects are achieved the Panora will remain a concept. The creator behind this concept is none other than Romulo Ferreira of Curitiba, Brazil. And yes, the idea behind the yacht was to create an external hull shape that follows a simple line. Personally, I believe this has been achieved.

Don't believe me? Just have a look at it. Take the hull for example. Unlike other vessels we've seen here on our site, this 164-ft (50-m) ship includes only two decks. The largest of the decks, also considered the main deck, only includes a dining set and a couple of lounging spaces with a view aft. That's it. Towards the front of this deck, however, visibility is blocked. This leads us to believe that it is within this space that a possible kitchen and other crew spaces are housed.

One thing I personally enjoyed about this design is the massive use of glass alongside the main deck. Surprisingly, the upper deck follows the same design. However, this deck is completely closed off for any guests. Why? Because it is here that we can find the owner's cabin and wheelhouse. At the front of this deck, a small portion is closed off. It’s here the wheelhouse is found, while the remainder of the deck belongs to the owner with a view aft.

We don't have many details as to exactly how the interior looks, but we do have one rendering that allows us to see a aft-facing bed, a sofa, and a lounge table with padded chairs. Another thing to note about this space is the massive skylight overhead. Imagine cruising along at 10 knots and just lying in bed looking up at the stars. How does that feel? Leave your comments below.

Another aspect I enjoyed about the design is that it is not full of jacuzzies, spas, gyms, or even a helicopter pad. Because of this, it's very possible that someday soon this design will be seen on open waters.

The only other aspect that remains to be discussed is that of the beach club. Of course, this wasn't going to be missing from the design. Aft as with any other vessel, we can see a set of stairs. In between those stairs lies the door to a garage and beach club.

Immediately above that we are able to find a body of water which will allow you to cool off without having to dive into shark infested waters. Honestly, nothing more is really needed for a good, relaxed weekend.

Now, I am going to point out once again that because of this vessel's simple design and lack of a ton of details, all that's left to do now is for this design to fall in the right hands. Fingers crossed.
