Rockstar was more or less forced to admit that the three remastered Grand Theft Auto games that fans have been expecting since forever will eventually be released this year. Although the developer didn’t reveal when exactly the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition will be released, it did promise to provide fans with more details in the not-so-distant future.
Today, Rockstar confirmed that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Rockstar Games Launcher) on November 11.

More importantly, one of the games included in the bundle, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition, will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, so if you’re paying for Microsoft’s games service, you’ll be able to play the game for free starting November 11 on Xbox consoles or PC.

PlayStation fans haven’t been forgotten either, as Rockstar confirmed that Grand Theft Auto III -The Definitive Edition will be available on PlayStation Now starting December 7.

Rockstar also revealed some of the improvements these enhanced Grand Theft Auto games will deliver, such as resolution upgrades, improved visual fidelity across the world, and much more faithfully tune and improve upon all three games.

Additionally, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition brings players GTA V-inspired modern controls, including improvements to targeting and lock-on aiming, updated weapon and ratio station wheels, updated mini-maps with enhanced navigation to allow players to set waypoints and destinations, updated achievements, and more.

According to developers, all three games included in the package feature a completely rebuilt lighting system, improved shadows, weather, and reflections, as well as upgraded character and vehicle models, along with new higher resolution textures across buildings, weapons, roads, interiors, and more.

As far as the price goes, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is available for pre-order for $60 / €60. Although the games will also be available for purchase individually, Rockstar has yet to announce a price for each of the titles included in the bundle.

Finally, Rockstar will launch a physical version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on December 7.
