Earlier this month, Italian manufacturer, Alfa Romeo announced that it will be unveiling the refreshed Giulietta at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Being a serious company, they delivered the retouched car at this year's event and we got to take a look at it first hand.
Compared to the previous version, this is not a facelift but rather an improvement as the Fiat-owned company admitted. The car that will go on sale next month has a redesigned front grille, fog lights with chromed frames and a couple of new alloys in 16, 17 and 18 inches.
Furthermore, the new car now has 3 new paint colors (Bronze, Anodizzato Blue and Moonlight Pearl) and additional optional features for the cabin, like the Uconnect infotainment system with a display of either 5 or 6.5 inches (with touchscreen).
However, probably the most important change is the addition of a new engine. The unit is a 2-liter JTDM diesel, delivering 150 HP and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. It all sounds good and fuel efficient but we think a diesel is not the best choice for such a car.
