It seems that Alfa Romeo's expansion plans did not only include the Italian brand's reentry into the US market. Last week, they launched their very stylish Giulietta hatchback (which we tested in QV guise) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Middle East, where it will be sold alongside the smaller MiTo.
In the UAE, the Giulietta starts at 101,000 AED (Emirati Dirhams) and rises to 118,000 AED ($27,400 - $32,100 or €20,400 - €23,900). It will be offered with the firm's appreciated 1.4-liter MultiAir petrol engine, which will be mated to Alfa's dual-clutch TCT six-speed automatic gearbox.

Standard features will include Blue&Me smartphone pairing system, seven airbags, ABS and electronic stability control, 16-inch alloy rims, as well as a surprising addition to the standard features list - a panoramic glass roof. Optional extras, such as a flip-up LCD screen for the infotainment system and sat-nav, Bose sound system, and 18-inch rims are available at extra cost, as well.

They plan to sell around 4,200 examples throughout 2013, through a network of 24 dealers, scattered across the region. Furthermore, they do not plan to stop here, and next up are Iraq, Oman and Jordan which will be added to the list of countries where you will be able to purchase an Alfa.
