Former Ferrari NA Chief Appointed Lotus USA CEO

Lotus USA has said today that Maurizio Parlato has been named as their CEO, as they ready themselves for the marketing offensive that’s to come with the new models. According to Automotive News, he has been involved with the British carmaker for a now, but they were busy preparing for various auto shows.
The official announcement was supposed to be made during the Los Angeles Motor Show on November 16th, but he has head the pollution ever since Frankfurt in mid-September. Parlato’s previous corporate position was as the Ferrari North America CEO, until he resigned on January 1st last year.

“He has the experience we need … to help insure success with our future Lotus vehicles," Lotus spokesman Kevin Smith said today. "(Parlato) is a welcome addition to the team. He's brought in a lot of energy already and great contacts in the industry."
