Even people who haven't played Cyberpunk 2077 recognize Keanu Reeves' character, Johnny Silverhand. He's been in all those iconic trailers and also happens to be connected to some cool in-game gear, like the Porsche 911 Turbo.
That's right, the only real car in the game, a heavily customized vintage 911, belongs to the digital Keanu. But because of his other iconic role as John Wick, we see him more as a cyber muscle car kind of guy, even though the actor is a true Porsche fan.
Sadly, there are no Mustangs in Cyberpunk, so we turned to digital artist Rostislav Prokop for an authentic sci-fi pony experience. Renderings in this style are obviously pretty abundant right now, but we love what's going on in this one.
The base car is supposed to be a 1969 Shelby, which would be more than 100 years old in the game. On the other hand, the way we understand it, Silverhand has been dead for a long time. So maybe the Mustang is sitting somewhere in storage, waiting to be discovered by the main protagonist V in a future DLC.
In the movie, they claim Wick’s Mustang is a Boss 429, though it's more of a 1969 Mach 1. Even though Rostislav's Cyber Shelby is of the same year, we appear to be dealing with the restyled model which they made towards the end of the Mk1's life. People call this one "fat and lazy," but the rectangular shape actually works better with the Cyberpunk aesthetic, matching the light bars and wings.
Sure, it was a much heavier car, but this digital masterpiece appears to stripped-out road-racer. Besides the aggressive aero, the scoops, and two-face paint, our favorite feature has to be the way the front wheels are the same size as the back and cut upwards into the fender.
