Ford Launches Fiesta "Inspired by Color" Casting Call

The stir caused by Ford’s new Fiesta exploded yesterday, when the American manufacturer announced it has kicked-off a casting call for the company’s "Inspired by Color" campaign.

With this casting call, Ford is seeking five individuals that take inspiration from the design and colors of the new Fiesta in their personal style, and who will be featured in the carmaker’s upcoming national television spots.

The new Fiesta comes in colors like Lime Squeeze, Bright Magenta, Red Candy and Yellow Blaze, so participants should not be short on ideas.

Day One of the casting call will see 30 individuals selected for Day Two of the casting call event, which will only pick five finalists. The judge panel will include personalities like R&B singer LeToya Luckett, Fashion Powerhouse and eBay Style Director Constance White, Parrish Clothing Founder Tony Shellman and Fiesta Designer Kevin George.

“We wanted to create a unique program that truly embodies the spirit of the Fiesta,” Crystal Worthem, multicultural marketing manager, Ford Motor Company, said in a release. “This program allows us to tap into the distinct features and style of the vehicle in a way that is relevant to some of the target consumers of this vehicle. We are excited about the opportunity to hold such a massive casting call in a city that speaks fashion, while also bringing along some of the experts in the field of fashion to help us execute the program.”

Those who wish to participate will first have to enter the campaign’s official website and take a look at the car, its technologies and features and then pick a color that inspires them the most. Depending on the color, they will then have to wear an outfit inspired by it.
