This beautiful tiny house with a vibrant blue exterior doesn't have a name, yet it certainly deserves one that reflects all its special qualities. For those who appreciate an out-of-the-box approach to home design, this house on wheels offers many surprises. It's packed with clever, practical solutions for long-term living in the best conditions.
It's no secret that most tiny house projects come from folks who are passionate about alternative housing, with first-hand knowledge of what mobile living is all about. Bjarne Salen is one of them. Primarily a cinematographer and photographer with a deep love for the open road, he launched Bjarne Builds as a simple hobby.

Bjarne is a man who didn't just travel extensively in the past but who continues to spend at least 100 days per year on the road, riding across North America in his van. He knows exactly what travelers expect and need from their mobile homes and how it can be done.

As someone who made being on the road an essential part of his life, he wants to encourage others as well to follow their search for adventure, either in a van or a tiny house.

The 30-foot (9.1 meters) tiny currently available at Bjarne Builds is as bold and original as its creator. Its traditional outside appearance hides an unconventional interior layout with numerous design hacks.

With a generous 320 square footage (29.7 square meters), this tiny boasts enough space for a lounge section, a fully-equipped kitchen, a separate main-floor bedroom, and a surprisingly luxurious bathroom. The loft area can provide additional accommodation or be used as a large storage space.

A main-floor bedroom is something that most people love due to the easy access, comfortable layout, and familiar comfort. The Bjorne Builds tiny makes the most of this bedroom. A queen-sized bed leaves enough walk-around space while also being comfortable enough for two people. Huge windows on each side ensure cross-ventilation and bring in lots of natural light.

This home is big on storage, and it shows. In addition to the storage under the bed, guests have access to beautiful built-in cabinets around and above the bed. Floating shelves are ingeniously used as bedside tables that take virtually no space at all, fitted with outlets on both sides of the bed.

There's even an extra closet in the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom is, surprisingly, one of the most stylish areas of the house. The contrast between the hexagon black tile and square white tiles gives it a premium look.

It's one of the few of its kind to feature both a waterfall shower and a bathtub, in addition to an eco-friendly composting toilet and a practical washer/dryer combo. The window is also larger than usual, which makes this space more luminous and airy. Thanks to the ceiling fan, it's also properly ventilated.

The kitchen has one of the most unusual placements we've seen with tiny home designs. This unconventional setup saves lots of space so that the owners can enjoy both a full kitchen and a spacious living room. It skillfully mixes high-quality appliances with classic, handcrafted furniture.

It comes with a four-burner electric cooktop and oven, a large fridge, a microwave, a small dishwasher, and a hood vent. All the cabinets were made in-house by an experienced carpenter, complementing the white oak countertops and floating shelves beautifully. The charming hanging pot rack in the ceiling is a rustic-style detail that's both practical and stylish.

At first glance, the living room looks like a traditional cocoon for relaxation, with the classic large sofa and rustic fireplace in the corner. Yet, this cozy spot has one great hack hidden within. Instead of a boring coffee table that would unnecessarily take up all the free space, the builder added a quirky dining table/office that can be lowered down from the ceiling electronically.

Whenever it's not in use, it simply stays hidden in the ceiling, leaving the entire lounge area free. When lowered down, it can also open up and turn into a very practical home office. Not just a space-saving hack, this cool solution actively contributes to a healthy work-life balance.

When work is over, everything is packed away and sent to the ceiling. The lounge room then truly becomes a haven for rest and relaxation, with nothing to restrict the fabulous views all around. The oversized windows and the glass doors help create the illusion of an indoor-outdoor space, encouraging a stronger connection with nature.

The same practical approach is used when it comes to accessing the loft area. Instead of a bulky staircase, this house comes with a basic ladder that can be easily hung on the wall so that it takes no space at all. A laundry hanging rack is also conveniently raised or lowered from the ceiling based on a pulley system. Every element inside this home is carefully integrated with a focus on functionality and balance.

This clever tiny home, filled with interesting design solutions, comes on a sturdy trailer, custom-made for tiny houses. It's currently up for grabs, asking for $162,000. Built and equipped for long-term living in any weather conditions, this house on wheels is equally stylish and comfortable.
