For many, the greatest supercar ever made is and always will be the McLaren F1. The British-made machine was introduced in 1992, and despite staying in production for just a few years, during which time 106 of them were made, it forever changed the auto landscape.
Despite trying its best and releasing some other incredible machines over the years, McLaren never managed to make something as extraordinary as the F1 again. And it probably never will, considering the passion with which the car’s fans defend its legacy.
Penned by Gordon Murray and powered by a BMW engine, the F1 quickly managed to earn its place in the history books by setting the record for the world's fastest production car, hitting 240.1 mph (386.4 kph) in 1998.
Because of the icon status of the car, few managed to create some type of successful tune or other project based on it, be it virtual or something else. However, there are official attempts being made to bring the car’s allure back.
McLaren itself launched the Speedtail at the end of 2018, a tribute to the F1 that will get produced in exactly the same numbers as the F1, 106. Separately, Gordon Murray himself is attempting a redo with his insane T.50 project.
This here F1, however, does not exist in the real world. It is the brainchild of an artist that goes by the name Zoki Nanco, a guy who found enough courage within himself to work on the car, and also brought us other insane body kits for the likes of the F40 and McLaren 720S.
As with any other such creation, whether the wannabe designer made the original F1 better or worse is a matter of interpretation, and it also depends on where you stand in relation with the F1. Here it is in the gallery above for all to judge and/or admire.
