Even those who don't consider themselves car aficionados are well aware of the DeLorean DMC-12 being cast in the role of a time machine for "Back To The Future", but, if you happen to belong to the said category, you probably know that the Internet has a fetish for placing various other machines in the said role. So how about the McLaren F1?
Sure, Emmett 'Doc' Brown and Marty McFly only needed to hit 88 mph for their time travel to take place, while the Woking rocket can climb all the way to 243.3 mph, but who says the whole potential of the machine has to be put to use?

Now, in case the said number sounds a bit off, that's probably because the F1's official top speed record, achieved back in 1998, actually sits at 241.1 mph (as any record, this is the result of an average made between two runs in opposite directions). To this day, the Macca, which was launched in 1992, remains the world's fastest production car animated solely by a naturally aspirated motor.

Returning to the virtual contraption we have here, this was put together by a digital artist who always loves an unconventional melange. We're talking about Jon Sibal and, if you're willing to know more about his work, perhaps the Dodge Challenger Hellcat "Crew Cab" he created for a recent sketch challenge launched by Ram will quench your thirst.

The artist, who drives a RWB Porsche 911, among others, didn't just gift the McLaren F1 with Back To The Future hardware and called it a day. Instead, the pixel master also came up with a little animation, as you'll notice by using the "swipe" feature of the social media post below.

PS: If this type of transformation happens to float your boat, make sure to check out this Tesla Model 3, albeit with the contraption having been imagined by a different artist.
