Good news, ladies and gentlemen! Two iconic Dodge models from days gone past have been revived for 2017 in the form of the Challenger T/A and Charger Daytona. Exciting stuff, alright!
Let’s start with the big, the bad, and the truly badass 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona. Even though it shares its name with the 1960s Aero Warrior, this bird doesn’t boast vertical struts and a 23-inch tall wing, nor a wedge-shaped nose. What it does have is a decal that wraps around the trunk and rear fenders, a HEMI hood decal, a decklid spoiler, and some interior touches.

In terms of pricing, the 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona is available with either a 5.7-liter V8 ($40,985 including the $1,095 destination) or a 6.4-liter V8 ($46,090). The latter engine will add a 392 suffix to the nameplate. The order books for this awesome-looking sedan open in September.

Then there’s the 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A. The two-door bad boy is available with the 5.7-liter V8 and 6.4-liter V8 as mentioned earlier, which are good for 375 and 485 horsepower, respectively. In terms of torque, we're looking at 409 lb-ft (550 Nm) at 4,300 rpm and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) at 4,200 rpm, respectively. And yes, the hood is painted black. The chromatic theme continues on the rear decklid, on the sides, roof, and front fascia. Heck, even the 20-inch wheels are black.

There are three Challenger T/A trim levels to choose from. The first costs $38,485 including the $1,095 destination charge. The Challenger T/A Plus ($41,235) adds heated and vented Nappa leather seats, a shortcut button for the Performance Pages, a better audio system with six speakers, 8.4-inch Uconnect media system, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The range-topping 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A 392 ($45,090), on the other hand, prides itself on wider wheels and tires, plus more stopping power in the form of six-pot Brembo brake calipers. The U.S. order books for the Challenger T/A open this coming October.
