Girl Gives Her Dodge Challenger Hellcat a Rusty Wrap for a 707 HP Beater Look

It seems rusty wraps (remember the Rustcat?) are trending nowadays and the latest example of this comes from a machine dominated by its motor, namely a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
The 707 hp beast you see here has been gifted with something we could call a beater wrap and the second skin includes plenty of faux rust bits.

The design for the adventure came from Californian artist Skepple, while the physical work, with its neat attention to details, was handled by Arizona-based Southwest Speed.

The images we have here come from the owner's Instagram account and, despite the impromptu nature of the she took pics, they allow us to get a pretty good look at this eye-catching Mopar machine.

Now, patina wraps are opinion splitters, so while we applaud the execution, we'll let you be the judge of this one. However, before inviting you to check out the photos below, we'll mention the owner took the time to share some details about her Hellcat.

For one thing, we're dealing with a 2015 model here (friends refer to it using its 2528 build number), one that comes in stick shift trim. Alas, the manual nature of the muscle car has caused some trouble for the owner, with the driver having to replace the clutch "right at 15,000 miles". We have to mention we're dealing with an afficionado who seems to pack serious fabrication skill.

Nevertheless, we're dealing with the kind of overprotective owner here, as the girl admits on Instagram: "Had to trailer the Hellcat to the shop today because there is a huge storm over ABQ and f&*k driving in this weather with these idiots and my non-existent clutch. Absolute most nerve-wracking thing I've ever had to watch. I'm way too protective over this car, but that's what love is. Glad we made it back safe and got her in the shop,"

Before we end this piece, we'll remind you the beater wrap theme has also been successfully applied to uber-Porsches, such as the 911 GT3 RS and the Cayman GT4.
