There have never been so many new vehicles out, and with the traditional companies constantly pushing for expansion and various startups and Chinese brands joining the fight, the list is bound to increase to never-before-seen levels.
However, a picky gearhead could argue that the industry has yet to fill every niche. For one, some of us would be satisfied if Audi launched an RS 6 Allroad. After all, it would be one ideal family car, with a spacious and elegant interior, tons of room for cargo, and a jacked-up ground clearance that would allow it to attack more curbs and emerge victorious.
We would also want to see a real luxury supercar. Bugatti's lineup comes close to that, as models such as the (defunct) Chiron offer neck-snapping performance without losing their premium feel and special touches, though they are hypercars. Aston Martin offers more affordable alternatives, although this company's proposals are not real luxury supercars but more grand tourers.
There was a time when it seemed that Bentley might be interested in tackling these virgin grounds. A true luxury supercar from the auto marque based in Crewe, England, would have attracted a lot of attention, and even if a similarly-priced Ferrari or Lamborghini would have been faster, we reckon it would have been successful, especially if styled right and fitted with all kinds of luxury accouterments.
We are not the only ones who think a supercar from Bentley would be a dream machine, as aimotoz on Instagram shares this belief, too. Thus, the artist set out to imagine what such a model would look like, and as you can tell, the result is simply stunning. The virtual proposal clearly looks like a Bentley up front, as it features similar styling traits that were inspired by the company's existing lineup.
It has bulging fenders at the front and rear, giant wheels, aggressive side skirts, an elegant roofline, and a rear mid-mounted engine, which would be a W12 with twin-turbocharging in an ideal world. Speaking of the oily bits, the perfect Bentley supercar would also feature an all-wheel drive system for enhanced traction and would also offer a manual transmission option besides the mandatory dual-clutch unit.
Usually, pixel manipulators imagining such fairy tales tend to draw the line at the exterior, leaving us wondering what the cockpit might have looked like. But not this virtual artist, whose digital illustrations reveal the elegant cockpit, as well. It features green leather with a diamond pattern on the seats and door cards, has the usual wood veneers, a gold touch here and there, and some shiny accents. And just like we said in the title, we absolutely love it, and we're convinced you feel the same, don't you?
