After having the entire auto press’ attention with the scandal over his Nyan Cat wrap he eventually removed from the Ferrari 458, Canadian DJ Deadmau5 is now about to add a McLaren P1 to his collection. Not that he didn’t already have a McLaren, but it would seem nothing compares with the hybrid hypercar, not even the 650S.
The music producer is allegedly planning to add yet another super expensive ride to his already huge car collection. According to Dupont Registry, the hypercar was ordered through McLaren Toronto, part of Pafaff Automotive Partners, the same place he got his 650S supercar from. His new P1 is finished in vibrant blue color and will have a carbon fiber rear wing.
On the other hand, we can’t really say we’re that surprised Zimmerman went for one of the world’s greatest hypercars, considering he has been talking about how great he finds it, while sharing his thoughts with his virtual buds on Twitter.
Moreover, as far as we know, the entire P1 production of 375 units was sold out by November 2013. This could mean the Canadian already planned for his purchase even before he got the older model McLaren or he payed a huge premium to the McLaren dealership.
Whatever the case might be, considering Deadmau5’s crazy ideas, we expect to see him giving people in Toronto a lift with his McLaren P1 as an Uber driver, as well. That’s going to be interesting for sure!
