Deadmau5 Wants to Sign Up for Uber: Supercar Taxi Anyone?

Having Disney threatening him over the mouse logo and Ferrari recently demanding to lose the Purrari made Deadmau5 a bit moody. At least that seems to be the case considering the Canadian DJ recently twitted he’ll sign up to be an Uber driver “for shits and giggles.”
It’s been quite the adventure for Deadmau5, Joel Zimmerman on his real name, lately. First, Ferrari demands him to loose the Nyan cat wrap he had his Ferrari 458 covered with, then Disney threatens him over his logo stating it’s not good for their Mickey Mouse character, and all this happens to finally have Nissan pulling the perfect PR stunt on Ferrari offering the DJ a GT-R with a Nyan cat wrap.

Point is, the Canadian is getting sick of all the trouble and that is why he probably thought it was time to loose he’s reputation of an avid sportscar driver and switch to a luxury taxi driver. And why not? After all Uber is super. Let us expand.

It’s a hundred-million dollar business getting renown all over the planet. Uber’s pricing is similar to metered taxis, although all hiring and payment is handled exclusively through Uber and not with the driver personally. In other words, you hop in (into an luxury limousine or a Prius, that is), the driver takes you wherever you want and you don’t even have to tip the guy.

Money gets out of your account and you don’t really feel it. Not while you’re being driven to the destination, anyway. Maybe later, when you visit the bank. You see, some people blame the service as being to expensive, but that is why Uber’s owners decided to bring in some Prius cars along the limousines, so problem is now solved.

Moreover, considering the type of marketing these fellows are using to make the service popular (they even had Back to the Future enthusiasts flocking to the San Francisco Bay area and offering rides in the famous DeLorean DMC-12s to people through Uber’s mobile application) we wouldn’t be surprised seeing Deadmau5 driving a Nyan Cat taxi in New York soon enough.
