Citroen is looking to cash in on the ever-increasing popularity of camper vans with the new Holidays. Based on the SpaceTourer, it's been converted into a home away from home in partnership with Bravia Mobil.
According to the French automaker, which is part of Stellantis, the new Citroen Holidays can sleep four in relative comfort. The pop-up roof tent offers sleeping spaces measuring 1.95 meters (76.8 in) long and 1.2 meters (47.2 inches) wide, and the sliding rear bench below doubles as a bed measuring 1.9m (74.8 in) long and 1.15m (45.3 in) wide. The blackout blinds on the windows and windscreen allow occupants to sleep in late without the sunlight bothering them.

Cooking can be done inside, too, courtesy of the two gas burners. It also features a stainless steel sink, a retractable table for four, swiveling front seats, and a 16-liter (0.6 cu-ft) fridge. A freshwater tank and a waste tank, each one with a 10-liter (2.6 gallons), are included, and the camper van can be fitted with a removable shower at the rear, complete with a 25-liter (6.6 gallons) tank and a removable toilet. Both sides of the car can hold a rolling awning courtesy of the lateral rails.

Accessing the interior lighting ambiance, managing the ventilation, and programming the heating system courtesy of the Webasto auxiliary heater is done via a dedicated control panel. There is a 95Ah 12V leisure battery on deck that powers a 230V socket, the aforementioned 12V refrigerator, and two USB-A sockets, which can be recharged at 230V. Supplying even more juice is the roof-mounted solar panel. There are two more USB-C sockets up front, a 12V socket in the glovebox, and a wireless charging pad.

Measuring nearly five meters (196.9 in) long and being almost two meters (78.7 in) tall, the Citroen Holidays comes with a single engine in the United Kingdom. It is a 2.0L BlueHDi diesel that generates 180 ps (177 hp/132 kW) and works with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The car manufacturer says the camper van comes in several exterior colors, including the Perla Nera Black, Icy White, and Cumulus Gray, joined by the new Kapari Green and Titanium Gray.

The on-board gear includes a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 3D navigation, smartphone connectivity, and natural voice recognition, joined by a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, and a few other gizmos. It also gets several driving aids, like the hill start assist, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, collision risk alert, traffic sign recognition, driver fatigue alert, reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, high-beam assist, and others.

Citroen will start accepting orders for the new Holidays this spring, and deliveries of the camper van are scheduled to commence in summer. Pricing details will be released in due course.
