Chrysler Commercial: Miguel Cabrera and the Road to Greatness

Chrysler is at it again, paving its commercials with Americana, talk of commitment and what it’s like to work hard for your goals. It worked for the 2012 super bowl, but we’re not sure it’s still.
This latest commercial released by them yesterday is for the Chrysler 300 and Town & Country. It features baseball player Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers. The eight-time All-Star player is nice to have for your commercial, but you’re no getting the point across Chrysler.

Working hard to develop the best car in the world, are we now Chrysler? Got any turbo engines for that bad boy? How about hybrids? When was the last major tech upgrade? This commercial looks like it’s only relevant in Detroit. Can you imagine Toyota only making a commercial for Japanese gaming geeks? The 300 really needs to work on its swing, because it’s way off.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
