Chris Perry has resigned as US marketing boss of the Chevrolet brand, General Motors announced yesterday, adding that a replacement for the 53-year-old has yet to be picked.
Perry joined General Motors from Hyundai in August 2010 and held several marketing positions with Chevrolet. As of last spring, he reported to Tim Mahoney, who as signed as Chevy’s global chief marketing officer.
"GM would like to thank Chris for his dedication and contributions, and wishes him well in all his future endeavors," said Alan Batey, executive vice president of Chevrolet.
Chris Perry helped roll out the “Chevy Runs Deep” advertising campaign and the “Under the Blue Arch” retails campaign. While the latter is still used by regional dealers, the former was phased out and replaced with the “Find New Roads” campaign.
