Chevrolet Wants You to ‘Find New Roads’

New Chevy Slogan 1 photo

The ad men behind Chevrolet have shown us both ends of the marketing quality bar. Some of their slogans/ads/promo campaigns have been good, while others not so much. We associate the latest slogan, ‘Chevy runs deep’, with the huge international success of the Cruze, which we say has exceeded even their expectations, though they don`t explicitly say it in this way.
Now, they have adopted a new slogan, ‘Find New Roads’, which is intended to help them get an image boost, in the minds of customers who up until now may have avoided a GM vehicle. They are following in Ford’s footsteps, as the Blue Oval’s ‘One Ford’ philosophy seems to be a solid way of going about doing your business.

Also, the fact that the word new is present and highlighted in the only official photo stands testament to the fact that they really want to change their image, and do it fast!

Chevrolet too want to adopt a common range of vehicles around the world, and with the planned launch of 20 new models worldwide, 2013 is a hugely important year for both Chevy and GM.

However, they will need more than a slogan change if they want to really reel in buyers from other brands - what they need to do is to stop making cars which look and feel as if many corners were cut both in the development and production process, and start making more cars that people actually want to buy.
