Celebrities Create Patchwork smart pink passion

In order to raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign, a host of celebrities have joined forces to create a life-size patchwork smart car, which also marks the launch of the limited edition smart fortwo pink passion. The patchwork smart is made entirely of fabric donated by celebrities and will be auctioned-off with all proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Campaign.

“The squares were cut from my youngest daughter’s outgrown vests. I hope with all my heart that a cure for Breast Cancer will be discovered before she reaches womanhood”,
Radio 1 DJ, Sara Cox, was quoted as saying.

“My piece of pink material is a bra because post breast cancer, I can no longer wear pretty underwired underwear like this...still, a small price to pay. Here’s to happiness and good luck with the auction,"
stated chat show host and Breast Cancer survivor, Trisha Goddard.

“I’d like to donate a doll’s babygro chosen by my daughter. Here’s to raising lots of money for Breast Cancer Campaign,”
said Manchester United footballer, Ryan Giggs.

Celebrities who have donated fabric to the smart pink passion patchwork quilt include Russell Brand, June Brown, Klariza Clayton, Twiggy Lawson, Claire Cooper, Sara Cox, Cheryl Fergison, Ryan Giggs, Trisha Goddard, Elizabeth Hurley, Twiggy Lawson, Zoe Lister, Joanna Lumley, Jane MacDonald, Kym Marsh, Martine McCutcheon, Dawn Porter, Adele Silva, Rachel Stevens, Margherita Taylor and Nina Wadia.

The one-off patchwork smart car will be up for auction on eBay. It will be on show at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey throughout October. Also, 100 models of the smart fortwo pink passion are available to buy in the UK, with smart donating GBP10,000 from the total sales to the Breast Cancer Campaign.
