CD PROJEKT RED has already confirmed that they're switching from RED Engine to Unreal Engine 5, thus closing the chapters on everything in production with their now-dead internal game engine. In this case, the upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC and Update 2.0 are the last pieces of content coming to Cyberpunk 2077. The next time we see this franchise again, it will look completely different. In the meantime, let's enjoy Phantom Liberty while we can.
The final DLC is coming hot and heavy on September 26 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Update 2.0 is arriving a bit sooner on September 21, which means great news for fans who weren't planning to get the $30 expansion.

CD PROJEKT RED has compiled a comprehensive list of PC components you'll need to run this extremely demanding game at various resolutions and framerates. Let's jump into it without further ado because we have a lot to process (geeky pun, fully intended).

For the Minimum requirements at Low settings, 1080p 30 fps, you need 12GB of system RAM, 70GB SSD storage, an Intel Core i7-6700 or Ryzen 5 1600 processor paired with an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB or Radeon RX 580 8GB or Intel Arc A380.

For the Recommended specs at High settings, 1080p 60 fps, your PC needs 16GB RAM, the same amount of storage (d'oh), and an intel Core i7-12700 or Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU with a Geforce RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 5700 XT or Arc A770 GPU.

For the "bo$$" Ultra settings at 4K 60 FPS, you should have at least 20GB of RAM, an NVME SSD, a Core i9-12900, or a Ryzen 9 7900X CPU, together with a Geforce RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card. We're talking at least $3000 here.

It's nice of CD PROJEKT RED to include the underdog Intel cards. They're not getting a lot of love in the industry, but as far as value goes, they're doing quite a good job. In 5 years, we may hold Intel ARC technology in high regard.

Now for the RT or Ray Tracing recommended specs.

The Low settings with RT On at 1080p/30fps require a Core i7-9700 or Ryzen 5 5600 processor and a Geforce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6800 XT or Arc A750. This is a bit mind-boggling because no one in their right mind would play a game with Ray Tracing on at Low settings at 30 fps. It defeats the purpose of looking pretty.

The RT Recommended components for Ultra RT at 1080p 60 fps are: Intel Core i9-12900 or Ryzen 9 7900X CPU, paired with a Geforce RTX 3080Ti or Radeon RX 7900 XTX.

The RT Overdrive settings, meaning the highest available, require at least an Intel Core i9-12900 or Ryzen 9 7900X with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080. That's right, no AMD equivalent is given here. Oh, you also need 24GB of RAM.

All that's left now is to wait for the September 26 to come and play Phantom Liberty.
