The $30 Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 is flying in hot and heavy on September 26. CD Projekt RED might have released the game in what is considered the worst launch condition in video game history for a AAA title. Still, with every new update and fix since then, fans have been loving CP 2077 more and more. From all the chatter on the forums and whatnot about Phantom Liberty, it seems like the blunder is all but forgotten.
Phantom Liberty stars famous Hollywood actor Idris Elba as Solomon Reed, an FIA (Federal Intelligence Agency) agent with a chip on his shoulder. Of course, he's a brooding, tired-of-life detective with nothing to prove while staying cool 110% of the time.

His experience in covert intelligence missions has turned him into one of the best at finding spies and netrunners, extracting information by any means necessary, and breaking into some of the most secure locations blood money can buy. He's also loyal to the cause and doesn't stray from the path.

His purpose in the game is to work with V, as in you, to rescue NUSA President Rosalind Myers after her flying thingamajig crashed, much like the 1st lady in Independence Day.

And let's not forget, we still have Keanu "YOU'RE BREATHTAKING" Reeves into the mix as good ol' Johny Silverhand.

Now that we've set the scene, let's dig into what players get for free once Phantom Liberty hits digital stores on September 26 for $30, bringing along the amazing-sounding Update 2.0. Remember, you still need the base game for the DLC; it's not a stand-alone spinoff or anything of the sort.

CD Projekt RED isn't messing around with what they offer players at no extra cost with the arrival of Update 2.0. In fact, the Polish game developer/publisher is so confident of the new changes and additions that they advise players to replay the game because it will change the experience completely.

For example, on the RPG side, the developers redesigned the skill trees and perks while revamping the cyberware and new capacity system. Vehicle combat and car chases are also part of the free new update.

Enemy AI has undergone fixes and improvements, along with the internal workings of the police system. The UI (user interface) and UX (user experience) have been improved, which, in layman's terms, make life much easier for the player.

Fans of RNG (random number generator) can rejoice, for the loot, items, and crafting systems have been tinkered with. Finally, if you like to fiddle with the radio stations like in Grand Theft Auto, some new ones have been introduced, including community Radio Station Growl FM.

Since the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED has cleaned up its act and pulled a 180. Fans are increasingly loving the game, with Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 as a swansong duet for the title.
