Hyundai has brought the Palisade into the 2024 model year in Australia. The brand's flagship crossover features a few updates over the previous model year, including reshuffled trim levels.
According to the company's local branch, the family comprises the Elite, Calligraphy, and Calligraphy Black Ink. The base grade adds a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable passenger seat, wood-look trim, acoustic laminated front door windows, melange knit headliner and pillars, and deluxe alloy scuff plates.

Replacing the old Highlander, the 2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy features the same acoustic laminated front side windows and brings touch controls for the HVAC system. Other highlights include the Nappa leather upholstery, suede headlining, a glass sunroof, a 10-inch head-up display, heated and ventilated front seats, and a plethora of safety systems.

Topping the family is the Calligraphy Black Ink. Available exclusively with a white or black exterior paint finish and several blacked-out elements inside and out, it benefits from the same gizmos as the normal Calligraphy, setting itself apart by sporting dark trim on the grille, skid plates, bumpers, lower door garnish, badging, and so on. It also gets glossy black 20-inch alloys and black suede upholstery.

The entire 2024 Hyundai Palisade lineup is available with both gasoline and diesel power. Choosing the gasoline burner means having to pay a minimum of AU$66,800 (US$42,472) for the Elite, AU$75,900 (US$48,258) for the Calligraphy, and AU$76,900 (US$48,894) for the Calligraphy Black Ink. The diesel raises these prices to AU$70,800 (US$45,015) for the entry-level, AU$79,900 (US$50,801) for the mid-spec and AU$80,900 (US$51,437) for the top-of-the-line grade.

Pumping out 217 kW (295 ps/291 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 355 Nm (262 lb-ft) of torque at 5,200 rpm, the 3.8-liter GDi gasoline unit is offered strictly with two-wheel drive. Choosing the 2.2-liter CRDi diesel burner will bring you an all-wheel drive system. This mill develops 147 kW (200 ps/197 hp) at 3,800 rpm and the torque is rated at 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque between 1,750 and 2,750 rpm. Both lumps are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

In the United States, the 2024 Hyundai Palisade family includes the SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, Calligraphy, and Calligraphy Night. Pricing for the first three starts at $36,400, $39,150, and $41,550, respectively. The latter three kick off from $47,700, $50,100, and $53,600, respectively. Power comes from the same gasoline unit that's offered on the Palisade in Australia. The engine is hooked up to the eight-speed auto 'box. Front-wheel drive is standard, but the brand's all-wheel-drive system can be ordered as an option.

Offering seating for up to eight, Hyundai's 2024 Palisade has a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs (2,268 kg) with a braked trailer. The EPA-estimated fuel economy is 19/26/22 mpg (12.4/9.1/10.7 l/100 km) with FWD and 19/24/21 mpg (12.4/9.8/11.2 l/100 km) with AWD.
