The most powerful versions of the Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7 wearing the "performance" badge will cross the Atlantic this fall, with prices starting at $125,800. The 2024 models boast 30 horsepower more than before for a total of 621 horsepower and a 0-60 time of just 3.3 seconds.
Audi launched the RS 6 Avant performance and RS 7 performance in Europe last November, and the US customers were left drooling. One year later, the 621-horsepower performance models are finally available to order stateside, so it's a good idea to write a letter to Santa in your warmest and most convincing words. The new models will replace the current generation, which "only" delivered 591 horsepower.

Audi engineers installed larger turbochargers to squeeze the extra 30 horsepower out of the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine and increased the boost pressure by 0.2 bar to 2.6 bar. This trick shaved the 0-60 time by 0.2 seconds to 3.3 seconds, firmly in supercar territory. The top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 kph) unless you order one of the 125 examples of the Bronze limited edition, which come with a 174-mph (280-kph) top speed.

Audi claims improved driving dynamics thanks to an updated fully mechanical self-locking center differential. This should allow more precise cornering control with less understeer at handling limits. The engine and transmission control software has been fine-tuned, resulting in quicker shifting times and a more engaging driving experience. The "performance" moniker also means that Audi stripped the sound insulation, allowing engine and exhaust noise to enter the cabin. This should create a more visceral sound experience.

The new models are differentiated from the ones they replace thanks to the standard trim components finished in matte gray. Two new colors are exclusive to the performance lineup: Grenadier Red metallic and Ascari Blue metallic. In the cabin, the new RS design package plus is available in gray, red, and blue, each with its own set of complimenting color accents. The 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit is standard, while the "plus" variant adds the ability to switch between black and white displays. The white gauges are based on the instrument cluster of the first quattro GmbH car – the 1997 S6 plus.

The 2024 Audi RS 6 Avant performance and Audi RS 7 performance will arrive at the dealerships this fall. The MSRP starts at $125,800 for the RS 6 Avant performance, while the fancier RS 7 performance retails for $127,800. Prices don't take into account destination charges and other taxes, including dealer charges.

The American Audi fans do get a bonus for waiting that long for these beasts, as the Bronze edition, limited to 125 units (75 RS 6 Avant performance and 50 RS 7 performance), is exclusively offered in the US. The Bronze limited edition cars come with exclusive equipment and are the only ones that can go as fast as 174 mph (280 kph) on a race track. No price estimate was offered for the Bronze limited edition.
