The Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster, first spotted on the streets of London, in a video posted earlier this week, has now been officially unveiled. The car looks very pretty from every angle, and it looks much better with the roof chopped off than its larger brother, the DB9 which just looked wrong with no top.
Under the bonnet, things remain unchanged, the car still using the firm’s familiar 6-liter V12, which puts out a similarly-familiar 510 hp, at 6500 rpm. However, Aston have touched up the car’s mechanical side, giving it a midified rear damper setup, as well as front and rear damper fine-tuning, along with new rear spring design. The drop top is 80 kg heavier than the coupe, so naturally, acceleration will be affected - the car reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds slower than the coupe. The top speed remains unchanged.

On the styling front, the V12 Vantage Roadster features a redesigned bootlid spoiler, lower front air intake, new 19-inch rims and slightly different rear light clusters. Now, if you want all this British goodness, you will have to shell out €190,000 ($230,000), which is €19,000 ($23,000) more expensive than the coupe, so if hearing the V12 is your priority, then, the V12 Vantage Roadster may be the car for you!
