Aston Martin’s latest toy, the new Vantage, made its public debut last night, with the event taking place at the London Film Museum, Covent Garden. An audience of 500 was present, with this including owners, fans, stars, as well as other influential visitors, with the car being unveiled by Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez.
The new Vanquish had been present at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, but there it only made a brief appearance, whereas last night guests were able to take a close look at all its details.
“As Aston Martin is in its 100th year and prepares for the 100th birthday of the brand in January next year, the debut of this new super grand tourer means we can look forward to the next century with confidence and real excitement,” Dr. Ulrich Bez said during the event.
A quick reminder: the Vanquish is underpinned by Aston’s new VH architecture, being powered by a 6.0-liter V12 unit delivering 573 hp. This allows it to deal with the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 4.1 seconds and offers a top speed of 183 mph (295 km/h).
