A lot of things have been storming everyone’s expectations at this year’s Baselworld watch fair, but nobody really expected Arnold Schwarzenegger to show up there. Yet California’s ex-governor was there this Friday and it was not just about showcasing what’s new on the market. It turns out the Terminator star has been working along with Brazilian watchmaker Magnum Group to create his own line of timepieces.
Believe it or not but people can reinvent themselves all over again and still be quite good at it. For an Austrian-born body builder who started off as a passionate sportsman, Schwarzenegger managed to outcome himself several times. First he started an acting career that also proved to be quite successful, only to later change the state of California into a better, more efficient and rather sustainable state.

To be honest, we never expected this to happen, especially since the 67-year old director has been keeping himself quite busy with the latest installment of the franchise that made him famous worldwide. Similar to what motor shows are, Baselworld also is a place where high-end watch makers premiere their future models, so the collection Schwarzenegger brought to the fair was made up of only prototypes.

According to Watch Report, his brand is divided into three collections, each representing a period in the life of their namesake. The first, called Schwarzenegger Legend Collection honors the Hollywood star’s days in bodybuilding with details such as cases and hands shaped like barbells.

Then there’s the Schwarzenegger Hero Collection which recalls his movie roles. The third models are connected to the ex-governor and are most likely going to be designed for businessmen.

Due this fall, the watches range between $565 and $2,790. Whether or not Schwarzenegger really knows anything about luxury timepieces we’re not the ones to judge, but considering his personal collections numbers 50 units, that has to mean something.
