Aprilia Details the Caponord 1200 in Official Presentation

After years if technical issues, Aprilia looks again towards the future in full confidence as they showcase the 2013 Caponord 1200.
With all the electrical problems of the older large adventure-touring bikes, it was small wonder that customers were no longer interested in spending their money on a big bike which could simply stop working in the middle of nowhere.

Having hopefully solved the problems of yore, we must say the 2013 Caponord 1200 looks pretty nice, even though some might say it looks so much like the RSV4. And the RSV is an awesome bike, in terms of both performance and aggressive looks.

The 2013 Aprilia Caponord 1200 is powered by a Dorsoduro 1197cc power unit said to deliver as much as 130 HP at a very usable 8700 rpm range, sitting in a Dorsoduro trellis frame, as well. The heritage and new technologies may be just the right combination for the comeback of the Caponord.

Some even say that a certain version of the 2013 Aprilia Caponord could out-perform the BMW R1200GS; while this seems a bit far-fetched, we're so looking forward to see the Caponord 1200 riding on Asian fields and learn how it fares on really rough terrain.
