The all-new Maserati Quattroporte has been well received by all who have seen it, with its long and very sleek shape, which is surprisingly fuss-free and very elegant, as well as the interior which, while it may borrow some elements from the Chrysler group parts bin, is very elegant and nicely finished.
However, aside from the official pictures, we had very little information on the car. Well, now, courtesy of autoedizione.com, we have found out more. First off, we have learnt that the new car measures 5.26 meters (207 inches), versus the 5.09 meters (200.7 inches) of the old car, so it is slightly longer.

Also, we now know that it will be powered by a V6 petrol engine, which makes 410 hp, while the V8 (currently of unknown displacement) is now rated at 530 hp, which is considerably more than the 450 hp that the sportiest old Quattroporte had at its disposal.

Now, as Porsche has done with the Panamera - one of this car’s direct rivals, Maserati will be offering it with a V6 diesel engine, to attract a slightly different clientele than what they’re used to. It will probably be offered in conjunction with an all-wheel drive system, which is to be called, in true Italian tradition, ‘Integrale’.
