With a bit of imagination, a tiny house can go beyond the classic dual-loft tiny and create a whimsical interior universe filled with clever features and loads of functionality. A perfect combination between a luxurious getaway and a beach house-style permanent home, this Aussie house on wheels makes the most of its size.
At 8.4 meters (27.5 feet), this home on wheels offers a relatively generous floor space, enough to accommodate up to six people in a vacation rental configuration or a small family for permanent living. Either version pampers those inside with a light-filled, open, and spacious layout and a beachy ambiance.

At first glance, the 8400GBS design in the Freedom Series created by Designer Eco Tiny Homes may seem like a simple dual-loft home. Still, it actually hides ingenious tweaks that make a huge difference. The first major change is the enclosed, private lounge that can turn into a private bedroom at night. The second difference is the addition of an unexpected, cozy dining area near the kitchen, without sacrificing any of the kitchen space.

Like most tiny homes with dual lofts and a staircase, this Aussie abode couldn't have fitted a lounge at the center. Still, instead of a typical lounge at the rear end, the 8400GBS reveals an enclosed space with a private door. Inside, three large windows create the ambiance of a typical tiny house living room immersed in nature. What's extra special is that this simple tweak made it possible to turn this into a traditional bedroom with full privacy and easy access. This becomes a multi-function room that increases the home's accommodation capacity without an inch of extra space.

Additionally, it allows more room in the entrance/kitchen area to add a beautiful dining setup with a round table and matching chairs. Versatility is key here as well, as this could easily double as a second lounge, a reading nook, or an entertainment area. It's strategically placed by the window for ample natural light and close to the kitchen for convenience. A second big window on the opposite side adds even more light and ensures the perfect view. This is the vertical window that acts as a separator between the two loft areas.

A split staircase would have required too much space, which is why a ladder was added to access one of the lofts and only a partial staircase for the other one. This freed up more room for the enclosed lounge and the dining nook. Still, both lofts were equally well-equipped, including multiple big windows for natural light and cross-ventilation.

Each loft also has its own open-work handrail for added safety and a bit of privacy without blocking the view. They're also spacious enough to fit queen-sized beds. Add to this the convertible lounge downstairs, and it's easy to see how this tiny home can easily welcome up to six guests, an impressive capacity for a house this size.

You might think that there's not a lot of room left for the kitchen. While this is not a chef's dream kitchen, it's also not an RV-style version. The 8400GBS offers generous countertop space and balanced storage when it comes to cooking. In fact, its kitchen is surprisingly elegant, also due to the monochromatic furniture design and modern accents like the LED lighting underneath the overhead cabinets.

A two-burner cooktop, an electric oven, a full-size fridge, and a range hood are included as standard features. The custom cabinetry helps keep the kitchen clutter-free and nicely organized, which complements the beautiful monochromatic style throughout. Despite the abundance of white, this Aussie tiny doesn't look traditional or retro in any way; in fact, it looks more like a luxury getaway designed for gorgeous beachside locations.

The bathroom exudes the same modern vibe with an elegant glass shower cabin and a minimalist vanity. Generous countertop space and storage are a trademark for all the bathrooms designed by this brand, and they also boast enough space to double as laundries. With the private bathroom at one end and the enclosed lounge at the other end, this beautiful interior creates a sense of balance and harmony, while the dining nook adds functionality.

The homes in the Freedom Series are some of the largest and most luxurious available at Designer Eco Tiny Homes. The Australian builder also offers models that are even more spacious than that, as well as the ultra-compact Independent Tiny, less than 5 meters (16.4 feet) long. With pricing starting at AUD 129,999 ($85,400), this gorgeous dual loft tiny is ideally suited for families or couples who want to indulge in maximum comfort while reaping the benefits of compact, mobile living.

Far from a boring layout, the 8400GBS reveals an intriguing take on the popular dual-loft configuration and successfully adds functionalities for an even more luxurious sense of comfort.
