The Alpine A110 is awesome. It's both old-school and new-school, not powerful but still fast, sexy but not overstated. So are we surprised that people want to tune it? No.
We've seen a few attempts already from software makers who've taken the 1.8L to 280 HP, so the word "first" cannot be used. However, Waldow Performance has taken things to the next level in a relatively short time, considering deliveries only started a few months ago.

So what's new? Well, for starters, the A110 is now called WP300, and that right there tells you the engine matches the output from the Megane RS Trophy. 50 horsepower more doesn't sound like much, but it is going to make a world of difference in a 1.1-ton sports car.

As far as we know, the color is a wrap job. Renault has a small palette for the A110 that gravitates towards blue and white, and if acid green were on the list, we'd know about it. Also, a discreet body kit has been specially made.

The front bumper gets a little bit of carbon fiber while the back is dominated by that wing. It's massive, adjustable and looks like it came from a race car. Waldow is good at tuning Renaults because they race them. So how's that for pedigree?

People are going to have a love-hate relationship with a big wing on the classy A110. But this just shows us it's being taken seriously.

Engineers had to create a unique double-wishbone suspension in forged alloy for this car. So we're taken back by the fact that it's been modified with KW coilover springs. The 2-seater sits much lower to the ground and will also handle completely differently, less relaxed over the bumps. This isn't for everybody, but we hope to see it at the upcoming Essen Motor Show.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
