When in the market for an electric bike, buyers certainly land on Zero Motorcycles at least once during their search. After all, there really isn’t an electric bike maker bigger than the Americans anywhere in the world.
The company was established in California in 2006, and since then it has grown into a powerhouse for two-wheeled machines driven by electricity. The company does business in no less than 40 countries, selling a total of nine motorcycle models derived from three basic platforms.

Unlike what some other startups in this business are doing, Zero sells its products for prices that are well within reach for most people, without cutting corners when it comes to capabilities.

And all of Zero's bikes have just become a lot cheaper to own, after the Californians announced serious price cuts for all of the bikes it sells as part of the 2022 and 2023 model year offering.

You see, Zero is planning the reveal of the 2024 model year lineup, and it most likely doesn't want to be left with a lot of present-day bikes in stock. To that end, it announced price cuts across the board, and they are permanent, meaning these are now the new values of brand-new Zeroes.

Available for the entire continent of North America, prices have dropped by $1,000 for the FX and FXE from both model years, and by $1,250 for the 2023 SDS, 2022 S, and 2022 DS. Those are huge cuts, considering that these bikes were already priced at a very affordable $13,000 or so.

But there are even larger cuts to be had, provided you go for the SDS DSR, FST Street, or DSR - these bikes are now cheaper by $3,000!

And not even that is the largest cut. Zero slashed no less than $4,000 off the sticker of the FST Street SR/F, FST Street SR/S, SR/F, and SR/S. These are some of the most expensive Zero bikes around, but thanks to this maneuver they have all been brought to under $20,000.

The undisputed champion when it comes to how large a price cut it got is the FST Adventure DSR/X, which dropped by $4,500 from its initial value.

All of the above means that, at the time of writing, you can get your hands on a 2022 or 2023 electric Zero motorcycle for anywhere between $10,345 (the 2022 DS) and $19,995.

Going further, what that means is that it probably never was a better moment to snatch yourself a brand-new electric ride. Sure, you may miss out on the important goodies Zero will probably reveal for 2024, but if budget constraints are a factor, the opportunity of owning any of the heavily discounted rides is too good to miss.
