All-New Skoda Octavia Spotted Again

The all-new and more upmarket Skoda Octavia, which was first spotted last week, on a road in the Czech Republic, has been spotted again. Now, in this latest video, the car is silver and body details are much more visible. It is clear that the automaker has opted to keep the old car’s shape, and simply give it a more modern interpretation, along the lines of the Rapid, the first car to sport their new ‘family face’.
It also seems slightly larger than the outgoing car, yet being underpinned by VW’s MQB platform, it will undoubtedly be lighter and more efficient than its predecessor, as is the case with the Volkswagen Golf Mk. VII. Skoda is expected to reveal the car online next month, yet we have already seen it and we pretty much know what to expect.

Its official world premiere is set to take place at the Geneva Motor Show, in March of 2013. After having seen the Vision D concept, we were honestly expecting a more drastic departure, in terms of design, from the old car, but Skoda has played it safe, with a car which looks pretty much the same in terms of shape and overall proportions.
