Let's face it; the RV or motorhome life can be extremely out of budget for most average Joes like myself. Well, all that changes if you own a truck. Adventurer Campers is here to show us that a fully-equipped truck camper is possible, and the 910DB is the unit to prove it all.
Folks, the name Adventurer Campers has been a staple of North American mobile living since 1969. It's quite possible that you've spotted one of their Canadian-born machines over the course of your life and never even knew it. Well, today, we're going to be living out of one of their largest units. Why? Simply to give you an idea of what's possible these days with nothing more than a long-bed truck.

This experience starts off with nothing more than a 910DB floorplan, Adventurer's largest and most equipped version they build. In short, it's the flagship, so prepare to be amazed, maybe as much as I was, and I encounter these types of habitats daily.

Now, I want you to picture that you went out there and spent around $50K American (depending on the features in place) on a 910DB, and it's now sitting mounted on the rear of your truck. Head home to fill it up with the necessities you require for the road ahead - there are plenty of storage bays and cabinets both inside and out - and let's set that GPS to our destination, wherever that may be.

After arriving at your destination, things take on a different form altogether. What I mean to say is that the 910DB is the sort of camper that is built around a slide-out design. This means that what you haul down the road will not be the same size once you finally decide to settle down.

Once you've pressed a button and the 910DB is now in its final form, you and up to four other guests (for a total of five with options) will be able to climb inside or even on top of the unit - it has a walkable roof - and get situated and cracking on outdoor living.

As I mentioned, this floorplan includes all the necessary gear to live a full life on the road, and we have that wonderful slide-out design to thank for that. Because of it, the interior opens up its arms and places spaces the likes of a modular dining area at our disposal, galley, elevated bedroom space with overhead storage and eve a wardrobe, plenty of storage bins and drawers, but most importantly, a dry bath, ready with a shower, toilet, and vanity. Honestly, what more could you want? It's like an RV packed into the biggest little truck camper you can find.

Furthermore, Adventurer also takes the time to equip your mobile home with features like a three-burner top, stainless steel oven, two-door fridge, 6 gal (22.7 l) water heater, 20,000 BTU furnace, and best of all, enclosed and heated tanks.

The latter opens up the next subject of discussion: this RV's ability to keep its occupants toasty and comfortable even well into the colder months. The heated tanks help, but so does the R-13 insulation packed into the shell; the floor is rated R-22. All that's then sealed in with a Lamilux 4000 gel coat, so go ahead and drive on.

As for those life-giving and maintaining systems, the manufacturer places 44 gals (166 l) of fresh water at our disposal, and 40 lbs of propane should be plenty. But the electrical system is also an essential setup, and for the 910DB, we can find a two-battery tray, 45 A converter/charger,
and pre-wiring for solar panels and a beefier entertainment center.

Speaking of beefing things up, this mobile half-shell is also available with options like an Onan generator, wireless jacks, up to 200 W of solar panel power, and all the little things we need to break away from interior living and enjoy the outdoors. I'm talking about awnings, a roof rack for all the little toys and tents you can think of, and even an outdoor cooking arrangement. Don't worry; there's space for all that.

From here, I invite you to take all that, kick back for a few minutes, and visualize just what your life may be like with a 910DB. You might picture yourself pitching a tent with kids, lounging around under those awnings I mentioned, with a cold one in hand, of course, tunes blasting in the background, or maybe you're just listening to the natural world around; there's a lot going on in the trees today.

If the hustle and bustle of the local flora and fauna means a storm's approaching, pack everything up nice and neat, maybe hide it all underneath your home, and move the activities inside until the storm blows over; there's plenty to do inside. Have you ever been kayaking after a storm has swept across your area? It's a neat feeling.

Heck, if the local weather service announces that this is going to be a big one, throw the 910DB back onto your truck's bed and outrun the storm. Maybe the beach is a better idea. Listen, I'm not saying that the 910DB is the be-all of truck campers; things can always be better, but for its year-round abilities, all the while pampering you with all the basics the modern human needs, this unit is bound to end up on someone's (yours) truck very soon; wink-wink.
