Three workers at Tesla’s manufacturing facility in California were injured yesterday following an accident that occurred after a failure in a low pressure aluminum casting press.
“Three employees were injured by hot metal from that press. We are making sure that they receive the best possible care,” Tesla said in a brief statement.

In related news, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that his company won’t be recalling the Model S sedan over the three fires that occurred the past six weeks, adding that some media reports were “extremely inaccurate and unreasonable”.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced it will conduct an investigation after a third Tesla Model S caught fire in Tennessee. The vehicle was traveling at 70 miles per hour when it ran over a trailer hitch.
