Red Bull Top Employees Offered Jobs by Rivals

The fact that Red Bull has just won the 2010 constructors' title in Formula One comes with a price. And not for the employees of the Austrian team, but for the ownership, who now has to provide a more decent salary cap for the men and women who helped Red Bull become champion.

Once a champion, you have to be paid like a champion, right? Well, until now, no employee of Red Bull has changed sides, but it's not like they didn't have enough offers already. According to the team's motorsport consultant Helmut Marko, at least 30 Red Bull employees have been offered jobs by rival teams.

Of the top 30 people who work for us, there is no one who has not already received an offer from a competing team,” said the Austrian, who failed to mention if he is one of those 30 people.

Considered by many the true manager of the Red Bull Racing organization, Marko is a former Grand Prix driver and currently the right hand of Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz. Although he did not disclose what Red Bull will do to prevent an exodus of its employees at the end of this title-winning campaign, Marko made it very clear that at least design guru Adrian Newey will not be leaving the boat any time soon.

He has said several times that Red Bull will be his last job in F1,” said Marko about the man who practically turned Red Bull into a championship winning squad, after having previously designed title-winning cars for Williams and McLaren.

Recently, Newey himself admitted that he will not leave Red Bull in the near future. More, he hinted that the Milton-Keynes based organization may focus on extended motor racing activities, but that will not happen within the upcoming couple of years.
