575 HP Hennesey 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350 Brings the Mother of Loud Dyno Runs

There might be enthusiasts out there for whom the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is neither muscular, nor loud enough. Well, 100 of those people could turn to Hennessey for a solution, as the aftermarket developer has come up with a special package for the flat-plane crank pony.

Dubbed HPE575 and obviously upping the ante on the horsepower front from the factory 526 hp to 575 hp, the main asset of this kit is that it maintains the naturally aspirated aura of the 'Stang - to be more precise, we're dealing with an output of 575 hp at 7,700 rpm (200 rpm higher compared to the "standard" car's peak power revs) and 511 lb-ft at 4,600 rpm (150 rpm lower).

The main ingredients for this jacked-up Voodoo cocktail are a high-flow air induction, a stainless steel exhaust upgrade consisting of 1.75-inch long-tube headers and high-flow catalytic converters and a mid-pipe. Of course, a revised engine management system, which has been calibrated on the dyno, keeps everything in check.

Well, the dyno part of the equation simply can't be overlooked and that's because it takes the already-bewildering soundtrack of the 5.2-liter V8 under the hood and dials it up to eleven.

While certain enthusiasts have complained about the coarser voice of the Voodoo V8, there's a much larger camp that appreciates the downright brutal soundtrack of the high-revving powerplant and, given the slight rpm boost (no forced induction pun intended) mentioned above, the latter category will be more than pleased.

While we're at it, we're asking you to be the judge of this one - the piece of footage below shows us the dyno stint of the Hennessey pony, being one of the loudest such adventures we've shown you.

P.S.: Those aiming for raw power should keep in mind that Hennessey has already released its 800+ hp take on the 2016 Shelby GT350, one that involves a blower.
