Vin Diesel (we actually mean Dominic Toretto) probably finds the cabin of any classic Dodge Charger as some sort of second home, so it shouldn't surprise you to see yet another one of these Mopar machines being put to work for the eighth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, which is scheduled to land in April 2017.
Called the Ice Charger, the Dodge, whose appearance has been nothing short of an opinion splitter, has been recently caught on camera while being unloaded from a trailer on the movie set (no, we don't know the location). We'll have to thank Redditor Mancaveaccount for bringing this to our attention.
The maneuver obviously doesn't require massive revving, but this doesn't stop the R/T-badged muscle car from demonstrating the vicious soundtrack of its V8 - you can also check out other Fast and Furious goodies visible in the background.
As for the questionable appearance of the muscle behemoth, we're dealing with an in-your-face take and the fat wheel arches pale in comparison to the... miscellaneous hardware protruding the luggage compartment lid. It will probably all make (a bit more) sense once we get to see the movie.
Universal Studios are well aware of the series' age, which is why the company has seriously upped the ante on all fronts for the upcoming release.
We'll start by reminding you about Charlize Theron, who has been cast in a bad girl role (we'll get to call her Cipher). Helen Mirren has also revealed she'll jump the F&F bandwagon. In fact, expect her to jump behind the wheel, not in the passenger seat.
No. 8 will see the action moving from California to New York, while much of the filming is taking place over in Cuba. Cleveland is also on the production map. Oh, and let's not forget Iceland - slippery drifting will seem only normal in this motion picture.
