Ladies and gentleman drivers, be prepared to meet a pickup truck that will go down in aftermarket history as The Ramcat.
To be more precise, we are talking about a 2016 Ram 1500 that has let go of its 5.7-liter Hemi, replacing this with nothing less than a Hellcat. Built by Midland Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge in Ontario, Canada, the mad bed barer isn't fully out of the oven yet.

Sure, packing a factory-blown 6.2-liter V8 is extremely nice, but other parts of the machine have to be adapted for the double-the-power move. And while mods such as a lowered suspension are on the list, the team behind the build explained a carbon fiber driveshaft is the main priority for now.

While the customer who commissioned the build was eager to take the machine for a spin, we have to explain the Ram currently packs the stock eight-speed auto. Once the drivetrain is upgraded, the Ramcat will also be strapped to a dyno - we forgot to mention this, but the Hellcat also received a few light custom bits, such as a cold air intake.

Of course, such a project will have enthusiasts wondering about the donor car and we're happy to report that no Challenger or Charger Hellcats were harmed in the body-building of this Ram, as the team used a crate engine. And while we're politically tech correct, we'll mention the ousted 5.7 Hemi will probably see its 395 ponies being put to hooning use in a Wrangler, or so the specialist expects.

As you can imagine, the Ramcat has caused quite a stir on the specialist's Facebook page, with fan Rene Cardenas even going as far as turning to image manipulation to ditch the Crew Cab. Truth be told, the Regular Car he came up with seems like a much more suitable tribute to the factory-loony Dodge Ram SRT-10 and you'll find the "chopped" pic in the gallery.

P.S.: With Fiat-Chrysler itself being unable to resist the temptation to Hellcat everything (remember the 707 HP Jeep Wrangler Trailcat concept?), you can't hold anything against enthusiasts going for a cross-brand build to pull such a stunt.
