With one major exception, Ford Motor Company doesn't have an easy life if we are to count just the Q3 sales results from some of its most important sectors like trucks and sports cars.
For starters, the Dodge Challenger pony/muscle car has remained ahead of its nemesis, the Ford Mustang – even if only by 35 cars, while the Chevrolet Camaro is lagging both from a respectable distance. Ford is a major loser in the mid-size pickup truck segment as its outgoing Ranger moved out about three times fewer units than the soon-to-be-retired 2023 Tacoma, while GM took the lead with the Chevy Colorado (plus its GMC Canyon sibling).

Even the full-size pickup truck segment is heavily disputed, as Ford indeed counts on the overall F-Series as America's best-selling pickup truck nameplate. But when General Motors adds the sales of the twin GMC Sierra to the Chevy Silverado tally, the balance of power shows a different case altogether. So, it's not hard to say that Ford is in a bit of a predicament, and the S650 Ford Mustang plus the refreshed 2024 F-150 are coming precisely at the right time to save the day – and possibly the entire 2023 delivery spreadsheet.

On the other hand, there is one part of the American pickup truck market that's copiously and unequivocally dominated by the Ford Motor Company – the Maverick unibody compact pickup truck outsold its only rival, Hyundai Santa Cruz, by almost 15k units during the third quarter of the year. However, things will not look rosy forever as intensifying rumors speak of Toyota's intention to enter the fray and crash the Ford-Hyundai compact truck party with either a rather complicated Scout revival or a straightforward Corolla Cross pickup truck derivative.

No worries, though, as the reinvented Ford Maverick has been around since 2021 (in production at the Hermosillo Stamping and Assembly factory in Mexico) for the 2022 model year. As such, it is only logical to assume that FoMoCo will soon unleash a refreshed version of the Maverick XL, XLT, and Lariat to keep the sales crown safe and sound from current and future competitors.

But that won't happen until the 2025 model year at the earliest, right? So, what happens with folks who are a little impatient? No worries, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators has a solution, as always. So, the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube have imagined the CGI looks of the rumored 2025 Ford Maverick compact pickup truck refresh, and the resident pixel master, of course, selected the Tremor version as the initial CGI flag bearer.

Even better, nothing was left out of the unofficial presentation – the host spoke about the scheduling of the model's arrival, about the potential changes to the front fascia, interior, and rear, plus the hypothetical new colors. Meanwhile, the resident virtual artist illustrated all these unofficial ideas to ensure everyone could select their favorite changes and hues. However, as always, do take all this with a pinch of salt, as nothing is official just yet.

Alas, with the refreshed 2024 Ford F-150 on the horizon and the all-new Ranger (plus Ranger Raptor) almost ready to hit nationwide dealerships to duke it out with the N400 Toyota Tacoma, the next logical move would also be to upgrade the little fellow' and make sure it withstands the test of time and the attacks from rivals just as easy as always.
