The Italian automaker is doing great as we head out into 2024 – at least compared to a couple of years ago because now they have a proper lineup to speak of.
Merely a couple of years ago, the only Alfas available for sale were the rather old Giulia sedan – launched in 2015, and the Stelvio premium crossover SUV introduced a year later in 2016. Luckily, now both of them are thoroughly updated and riddled with special edition models, and the Tonale compact crossover SUV also joins them as the brand's first PHEV.

Soon, production will kick off for the ultra-limited Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale flagship with ICE or an EV powertrain, and the Italian company will add yet another crossover SUV to the roster – the petite Milano. As far as we know, it's the counterpart to the Jeep Avenger, Opel Mokka, Peugeot 2008, and many Stellantis' CMP/eCMP platform bearers. As such, it will receive a bundle of powertrains – including pure EV power thanks to the 154-hp and 54 kWh battery pack that's also known from the new Fiat 600e.

However, the company has confirmed most of Milano's assets, so the rumor mill is now looking for bigger fish to fry. Naturally, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators follows them, and that's how the good folks over at the Car Review Channel on YouTube have some AI-assisted CGI thoughts about the upcoming second-generation Alfa Romeo Giulia – in Quadrifoglio and pure EV form!

Slated to transition to EV power, the second incarnation of the modern Giulia is anticipated by the rumor mill with 350 electric ponies in base format, with some 800 hp from the Veloce models, and up to 1,000 hp in Quadrifoglio guise. Also, with an 800V architecture based on the STLA Large platform, it could even have up to 500 miles of all-electric range in RWD single-motor form. Of course, the channel's resident pixel master is way more interested in the looks of the next-generation Giulia rather than its technical capabilities.

With some help from AI software, the CGI expert likely imagined not only the electric Giulia Quadrifoglio but also possibly an extreme version that also keeps its ICE credentials. Most likely, Alfa Romeo will backtrack on making the next Giulia an exclusive EV offering as many of Stellantis' nameplates are doing the same – the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup is offered with V6, Hurricane, Ramcharger range extended, and REV setups, and the next Charger is probably mixing Hurricanes with EV offerings, too.

As such, it wouldn't be surprising to see the reveal of the all-new Giulia combined with both ICE and EV powertrains – just like it is currently the case with the flagship 33 Stradale offered with both a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine and a tri-motor EV setup. So, would you like to see the next Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio, an EV capable of hunting down Plaids, or not?
